One of the key obstacles to advancement in the workplace is bias - both conscious and unconscious. Most of us are aware of conscious bias and can call it out when we see it. How can we address a problem that many of us don't even see? And, crucially, how can we move from simply raising awareness to spurring meaningful change?

In this webinar, we'll explore the intricacies of unconscious bias -- what it is, where it comes from, and how it holds people back. We'll describe how unconscious bias shows up in many aspects of the workplace, including recruiting, hiring, performance reviews, and promotions.

Then, we'll present strategies for reducing unconscious bias and explain the critical role of empathy. Register for this event now!

Many companies have a corporate bias against people based on their gender, background or culture without even realising it. But the organizations that are most likely to thrive in the future are the ones that can overcome this corporate mindset and embrace diversity.

Many scientific studies indicate that teams containing a mixture of different races, ages and genders generally process facts more carefully and achieve greater innovation than homogeneous teams.

Then, we'll present strategies for reducing unconscious bias and explain the critical role of empathy. Typically, empathy is conceptualized as "walking in someone else's shoes." But true connection requires that we use our own experiences and emotions as a lens for understanding the perspective of others. When we conceptualize empathy in this way, it becomes one of the most powerful tools for deconstructing bias. We'll present the latest research on empathy and share some simple exercises that you can do to spark empathic engagement in the workplace.

As part of the conversation, we'll also explain how thoughtfulness can be particularly effective for engaging in the conversation around gender diversity.

By the end of our session, you'll understand why!
